ok i have an external hardrive and want to boot the recovery partition off of it so how do i change the boot.ini so i can boot from the external hardrive

this is my boot.ini|||It depends on how your external partition is mounted.
However, you should just go into BIOS settings and try to get it to boot from USB there, rather than editing boot.ini|||you might just try going into bios and change the order of the boot devices (make your external hard drive first)
